A Practical Food Drive Built for Real Life
Kelly Servis, our Marketing Director, saw the impact of the recent SNAP benefit loss and the added strain of the upcoming holidays. She came up with the idea to launch a not-your-standard, impromptu food drive, and we quickly jumped on board to support families in Chico Housing Action Team’s programs and their partnering agencies. The need is real. Local pantries have been drained, and many families have been pushed into survival mode.
Why We’re Doing This Differently
Instead of collecting random canned goods, we’re fundraising to create shelf-stable meal kits that are complete, intentional, and easy to use. When a family is overwhelmed, turning a scattered bag of ingredients into dinner is one more decision they shouldn’t have to make.
Inspired by Dollar Tree Dinners, these Stress-Free Prepared Meal Kits give families a ready-to-make solution. No shopping. No planning. No stress.
What Your Donation Makes Possible
For less than $10, we can assemble a full kit with everything needed to feed a family of four to six. We currently have 14 complete meals in rotation. Each one is simple to prepare and gives families real relief in the moment they need it most. Kelly will handle the shopping and assembly for as long as funds allow. All kits will be distributed through CHAT.
How to Help
